1. If you want the single color one and without the controll box, then the strings can only be steady on.

2. For the RGB one, if you don't want the controll box, then the string light will change the color itself. But you can not change the mode of lighting style.

3. With the controll box, eight different mode of lighting style.

1).Combination;

2). In Waves;

3). Sequential;

4). Slo-glo;

5). Chasing Flash;

6). Slow Fade

7). Twinkle Flash;

8). Steady on.

You can set the mode as you like by pressing the little button on the control box.

Attention:

This strip light is not 100% waterproof , try your best not put the strip light into water, and the Control Module is not completely waterproof, you are suggested to place the control module above the ground and under a shelter at outdoor.
