ASIC controller describe as follows: 1.CPU controller : All the HID Ballast made in china or Taiwan use CPU programming controller , the program is easy to copy ,and now you may spend us$3,000 to buy the CPU ballast total solution in HID market , therefore any engineer could make a ballast in his living-room ,so that rapidly creating many hid makers in China , and offer very cheap price inorder to get more orders. but a CPU controller can't monitoring the HID lamp (lamp power keep changing month by month ), and the lamp become more difficult to control,then bulb go off or CPU program out of control to burn out the ballast.,the defect rate is higher,and the ballast life is short. 2.HYLUX's ballast uses ASIC chip controller which is without program inside, onlyHELLA& Matsushita use this analog type inside of HID ballast in the world Asic chip is difficult to design and cost expensive, Hylux spend about us$600,000 to develop it which is with powerful functions of real-time lamp-monitoring & power compensation and Ballast protections . throught many reliability tests to obtain good quality. |
