The white filter is used to soften the light (diffuse effect), and the orange and purple color filter can be use to create different color temperature. The CN-126 is powered by various type of batteries from dry cell to rechargeable batteries from Sony and Panaonic (via the battery adaptor). A on/off switch at the side allow function as a dimmer to control the intensity of the light output.

The unit can be mount on camera with standard hotshoe or on 1/4" threading stud.
