A metal cap shields the filament to reduce glare and prevents direct light from
mixing with reflected light, resulting in a smooth beam with a very sharp contrast.

Remarks

It is necessary to use transformer for cooperation when light is in use,turn off electric power before light replacement,don't take it off until it become cool.
