25 Foot Light Mast with Electric Winch Operation - Fold Over Light Boom - Three Stage Light Tower - LM-25-3S-EW

The Magnalight LM-25-3S-EW Light Mast with electric winches provides a safe and effective way for operators to quickly deploy lights, security cameras and other equipment to elevations up to twenty five feet. This mast can be extended to 25 feet in total height, and includes a rotating base to allow mounted lights and equipment to be easily aimed in any direction regardless of mounting position.

Magnalights’ telescoping steel light tower mast is designed to allow operators to quickly and safely deploy lighting and other electrical equipment in locations where this equipment must be elevated to heights up to 25 feet for effective application. This three section light boom can be extended to 25 feet for maximum area coverage and collapsed to 10 feet when not in use. The tower is constructed of square steel tubing with three sections of 10 feet, 8 feet and 7 feet exposed.

The mast is elevated from the fold down position using an included 1,000 pound rated 120 volt Dutton Lainson electric winch with 3/16 inch aircraft cable and extended to its full height using a second 1,000 pound rated 120 volt electric winch. The electric winches are controlled via a programmable logic relay and reflective sensors as opposed to physical limit switches for ease of use and safety. The control system is encapsulated in a NEMA 3R enclosure and includes movement buttons, warning alarms and an emergency stop button. We use off the shelf components and the system is designed for field maintenance if needed.

It takes approximately 1-2 minutes to unfold the mast and 2-3 minutes to full elevate the mast.

A rotating mounting platform allows operators to rotate the entire tower on its base, providing an easy means of directing lights or other mounted equipment regardless of tower location.

These light masts are typically mounted to trailers or other stable surfaces via a 12 inch square, ½ inch thick mounting base-plate which has been drilled to accept four mounting bolts (3/4 inch). This base-plate mount also includes a rotating axis which allows the entire tower to be rotated in both the folded down position and upright position. A 24 inch wide and 1/4 inch thick mounting plate is attached to the upper section of the mast to allow operators to easily and securely attach their desired fixtures. This light tower weighs approximately 380 lbs, can easily support and lift 300 pound fixtures and when lowered to 15 feet can withstand winds up to 125 mph. The entire tower assembly is shipped via common freight carrier and when shipped measures approximately 11 feet long, 4 feet wide, 3 feet tall and weighs 520 lbs.

Suggested Applications: Lighting and security camera deployment. We can equip this mast with 1000W or 1500W Metal Halide lights or a wide variety of high powered LED lights with comparable power, including the LEDLB-200X2E, LEDLB-160X2E or LEDLB-80x2E.
